Mike and his wife are lifelong Nebraskans. He is a retired educator who lives near Palmyra with his wife, Janet. They strive to learn with their Peer Group and their fields partially serve as learning labs. Their 200 acres includes an orchard, bees, pollinators, annual/perennial cover crops and a diverse crop rotation that focuses on carbon, weather resiliency, “soil- and water health intentionality”, and planting 10-15 trees each year. Mike is a founding member and Treasurer of the Nebraska Soil Health  Coalition, nesoilhealth.org. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Nebraska Healthy Soils Task Force, as Secretary on the No-till on the Plains Board member, and other education- and conservation-related Boards
